David Gregory lived on the Mendocino coast for several years and returns as often as possible to paint and enjoy the tranquility of the area.
He has been a painter for over forty years and has had numerous solo exhibitions, including several at galleries in Mendocino. David has also been accepted in national juried shows throughout the USA.
Over four thousand of his paintings and more than one hundred etchings can be found in public and private collections in the USA and abroad.
David studied architecture, painting, and printmaking at the University of Illinois. In 1986 and in 2011 he collaborated with author John Bear to publish two books (now out of print) titled Mendocino, both featuring more than seventy of his paintings. Some of the paintings that appear in the books are included in this exhibition.
David is a signature member of the Hawaii Watercolor Society and of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. He now lives in Peoria Illinois, with his wife, Renée.
